Blog's, online alias' etc

ok, no i usually don't htink i'm self important or anything, but how many people think they actually are doing something original by typing in a blog. i mean come on, it's just like writing in a diary and then sharing it with everyone. i guess i can see the point when you live on the other side of the [world/country/solar system/universe](circle one) but whole hordes of people flocking to your blog page just because you have to have your page visited by people who think they know you because they met you in [IRC/AIM/ICQ/MSN/YAHOO/other](circle one). Then also say, "hey did you read stacey68745's blog last night, jim_the_man46 really pissed her off today i can't wait till i see them in the chat room tonite, there is going to be so much flaming going down." On second thought it'd probably look like this "HEY DID U READ STAECY68745S BLOG LAST NIGHT JIM_THA_MAN46 RILLY PIS3D HER OF 2DAY I CANT WATE TIL I SE THEM IN DA CHAT ROM 2NIET THEIR IS GONG 2 B SO MUCH FLMNG GONG DOWN1!!11 OMG WTF LOL"

Ok, on to online alias'. I don't see the point. Especially if you are a professional trying for recognition in [programming/web stuff/gaming/buisness](yeah, same thing). I was having a discussion with one of my friends about this. How everyone at his company thought it was an original idea as a game developer/designer to use your real name as your in game name. These people obviously do not live in the real world where every goes by their given name, whatever it is. Last time i checked there weren't any [insert bad fantasy name here]'s running around, and those that usually are will be killed second after the lawers when the revolution comes.

side note: i don't get LARP's (live action role playing). As in dressing up and going 'thus and thy, and hither and thou", sorry but that should be left to king james and his bible. Give me contemorary language and no dressing up. except for maybe the ren-fair when you can get all the fat chicks who dress up and wonder if you are carrying that big sword because you are compansating for somthing. What morons these mortals be.

Now this isn't to say i don't like any kind of role-playing games. ie D&D, and a host of others. but i mostly just like hanging out with my friends and chatting, and what we do when that is going on doesn't matter.

[maybe i should give this link to a friend so they can read it. otherwise whats to point really. i'll probably start posting comments to myself soon]
